Simmons & Simmons advises Tillo on Amilon acquisition

Simmons & Simmons has advised Tillo, the global rewards, incentives and gift card platform backed by private equity firm Tenzing, on the acquisition of Italian digital gift card and employee benefits specialist Amilon.

As part of the deal, Amilon co-founders and CEO Andrea Verri and Fabio Regazzoni, together with CIO Renato Buontempo, have reinvested in the combined business, retaining a minority stake and continuing to lead Amilon as part of the Tillo group.

The acquisition was supported by Simmons & Simmons teams across several jurisdictions, with the firm advising Tillo on the legal aspects of the transaction. The Madrid office advised on all Spanish law matters.

The team

Simmons & Simmons Spanish team law was led by Ignacio Dominguez, partner at Simmons & Simmons in Madrid, together with Carlos Cantera, supervising associate, and Javier del Álamo Lombardía, associate.

The Madrid team worked alongside Simmons & Simmons’ Italian and UK teams, which advised on the corporate and M&A, financing, antitrust, regulatory and intellectual property aspects of the transaction, as well as Schoenherr, which advised on Polish law matters.
