Recurso de Casación launches in Spain

Recurso de Casación Abogados has launched in Spain with a team of ten lawyers specialising in cassation appeals before the Supreme Court’s different chambers. The firm, which has offices in Madrid and Seville, will advise clients nationwide on the legal viability and preparation of cassation appeals in the civil, criminal, administrative and employment jurisdictions.

According to the firm, it is the first Spanish practice dedicated exclusively to cassation proceedings across all four ordinary jurisdictions. The firm’s coordination will be led by Juan José Martín Arahal, one of its founding partners, who has more than 15 years’ experience bringing cassation appeals before the Supreme Court’s First Chamber.

The lawyers involved in the project include criminal lawyer and former judge Vicente Tovar Sabio; tax litigation specialist Alfonso del Castillo Bonet; lawyers from criminal law firm Casado & Casalta; and practitioners with cassation experience in administrative litigation, including Alonso Ramón, employment lawyer Javier Reyes, of Becquer Abogados, and civil lawyer Àngels Sánchez Vioque.

The firm says its specialist model “responds to the technical and legal expertise required to act before the different chambers of the Supreme Court”.

“Recurso de Casación Abogados was founded with the aim of providing rigorous legal advice, drawing on professionals with extensive experience and specialist expertise. A prior assessment of the viability of each appeal is essential to giving our clients a genuine opportunity before the Supreme Court”, says Juan José Martín Arahal.
