Evergreen Legal advises PremiumFiber refinancing

Evergreen Legal has advised PremiumFiber, a wholesale fibre optic operator, on the refinancing of €2.1 billion of debt through a combination of a bond issuance and two institutional loans. PremiumFiber was created by MASORANGE and Vodafone España, with GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, subsequently taking a stake in the company.

The refinancing allows PremiumFiber to significantly extend its debt maturity profile, moving from an average term of roughly seven years to new tranches maturing in 10, 12 and 15 years. The transaction also reduces the company’s average financing cost, diversifies its funding sources and broadens its access to international institutional investors.

The team

Evergreen Legal supported PremiumFiber throughout the structuring and negotiation of the deal with a team led by Alberto Campo, Partner and head of the firm’s Banking & Finance practice, and Marta González Araña, Partner in Banking & Finance, together with Pablo Alarcón, Senior Associate, and Javier Delgado, Associate.
