Uría advises ECS in luxury hotel sale in Portugal

Uría Menéndez advised ECS, an asset management company partially owned by Davidson Kempner Capital Management, on the sale of the Conrad Algarve hotel to Quinta do Lago Empreendimentos Imobiliários e Turísticos. The Conrad Algarve is a five-star hotel featuring 154 suites, 80 apartments, two villas, a luxury spa, and six restaurants and bars, including a Michelin-starred restaurant. This transaction marks the largest single-asset sale ever recorded in Portugal’s hospitality sector, states Uría.

The Uría Menéndez team leading the transaction included partners Francisco da Cunha Ferreira (real estate) and David Sequeira Dinis (litigation, both pictured), supported by counsel Luís Bértolo Rosa (litigation), senior associate André Hüsgen (real estate), and junior associate Teresa Perdigão (litigation).
