Toda & Nel-lo hires Gómez-Acebo & Pombo partner
Toda & Nel-lo has added Remedios García as partner in its tax law practice in Madrid. She joins from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, where she spent most of her career and worked as counsel and professional partner in the tax area.
With her arrival, the firm’s Madrid office reaches six partners.
The profile
García has more than 25 years of experience advising on domestic and international tax matters, mainly in transactional work. She has advised on tax aspects of domestic and cross-border M&A, financing and restructurings, and has carried out and coordinated due diligence processes. Her work has focused on the real estate and energy sectors, among others, and she has experience in the tax structuring of project and asset financing transactions.
She has also advised companies, family groups and individuals on complex tax issues, including the taxation of non-residents. Her experience extends to tax inspections and proceedings before the Spanish Tax Agency, economic-administrative appeals and tax litigation.
The hire forms part of Toda & Nel-lo’s growth plan and its focus on Madrid as a key market. The firm adds a profile with broad domestic and international experience, particularly in transactional work but also in recurring advisory work and tax proceedings. Toda & Nel-lo says it intends to keep recruiting senior professionals and to give the Madrid office a central role in the firm’s development at national level.
