Toda & Nel-lo adopts Legora’s AI platform
Toda & Nel-lo has started deploying the Legora artificial intelligence platform firm-wide, covering all practice areas in a phased rollout over the coming months. The Barcelona and Madrid-based firm is among the first mid-market Spanish law firms to adopt the tool, which is already in use at a number of national and international firms including Bird & Bird, Cleary Gottlieb, White & Case, Linklaters, Deloitte, Dentons and Goodwin.
Platform capabilities and implementation
Legora is a collaborative AI platform designed specifically for legal work, supporting lawyers with research, document review and drafting on complex matters. At Toda & Nel-lo, the rollout will be overseen by a dedicated in-house AI specialist appointed to lead implementation and maximise use of the technology — a move the firm describes as reflecting its strategic commitment to the project.
The integration is intended to complement, rather than replace, the legal knowledge and judgement of the firm’s professionals, freeing up time for strategic client advice and reducing hours spent on repetitive tasks.
Strategic context
The integration of AI solutions has become one of the main drivers of transformation in the European legal sector, particularly in document review, legal information analysis and internal process optimisation. Toda & Nel-lo, founded in 1992 and operating with a team of nearly 100 professionals, frames the move as a significant milestone in its digital transformation roadmap.
Ignacio Goytisolo, partner and member of the Executive Committee of Toda & Nel-lo, commented: “Artificial intelligence is transforming the practice of law at extraordinary speed. Our investment in Legora allows us to position ourselves at the forefront of the Spanish mid-market legal sector, incorporating advanced technological capabilities that enhance the work of our teams and enable us to respond with greater agility to the increasingly complex needs of our clients.”
