LRB Tax & Legal launches ValiTax expert reports
LRB Tax & Legal, a firm specialising in tax and corporate advisory with offices in Madrid and Palma de Mallorca, has announced the launch of ValiTax, a business line dedicated exclusively to issuing legal, corporate and tax expert reports.
The firm operates across Spain and offers companies, law firms and advisory professionals an expert reporting service endorsed by the Asociación Profesional Colegial de Peritos Judiciales del Reino de España (ASPEJURE) and backed by Luis Miguel Larriba, managing partner of LRB Tax & Legal, a lawyer with more than 15 years of professional practice and a judicial expert accredited by the Ministry of Justice.
The launch responds to a growing need in the Spanish business sector. Increased inspection activity by the Spanish Tax Agency, tighter commercial and tax regulation, and rising litigation around professional liability are pushing companies, directors and advisors to support their decisions with technical, independent evidence capable of withstanding a tax audit, a court proceeding or negotiations with an opposing party.
Both the Tax Agency and case law have increasingly recognised the probative weight of expert reports over other traditionally used evidence, such as property valuations, given that an expert report is drafted specifically for the circumstances of each case, incorporating the reasoned and verified analysis of an accredited professional.
Report categories and institutional backing
ValiTax operates throughout Spain and structures its offering around four main purposes: reports that support decision-making by companies and management teams, shielding them against future tax audits or liability claims from partners or third parties; expert reports for law firms, aimed at reinforcing judicial and extrajudicial case files; professional liability reports, allowing businesses and professionals to claim against, or defend themselves from, alleged negligence in advice provided by third parties before the professional concerned or their insurer; and prior validation reports for tax advisors and tax lawyers seeking external expert backing before executing a transaction.
All reports issued by ValiTax carry the collegiate endorsement of ASPEJURE, a certification that confirms compliance with the ethical and technical standards required of expert evidence and reinforces its admissibility before administrative or judicial bodies.
