LRB Tax & Legal opens Balearic Islands office
LRB Tax & Legal, a firm specialising in tax and corporate legal advice for companies, has opened a new office in the Balearic Islands, located at Parc Bit in Mallorca. The move forms part of the firm’s territorial expansion strategy across Spain and follows what the firm describes as a significant volume of clients it already serves in the archipelago, including tourism groups, hotel chains, software companies serving the tourism sector, real estate and construction firms, and food industry companies.
The firm said the new office responds to a growing flow of business opportunities in the region and to an established relationship with the local business community. Several of the firm’s partners regularly deliver specialised legal and tax training for companies through the Confederación de Asociaciones Empresariales de Baleares (CAEB), which the firm says has allowed it to maintain direct and ongoing contact with the needs of Balearic businesses.
Practice areas and client base
LRB Tax & Legal focuses on defending companies in tax audits and inspections carried out by the Spanish Tax Agency, accompanying clients through every stage of the process, from the initial request to the final resolution, including administrative and judicial appeals where necessary. The firm also advises on the structuring and restructuring of corporate groups, covering mergers, spin-offs, asset contributions and share swaps under the special tax neutrality regime, holding structures, and broader tax and corporate planning for companies of different sizes and sectors.
Luis Miguel Larriba, founding and managing partner of LRB Tax & Legal, holds three university degrees and four specialised master’s programmes, alongside 15 years of experience at international consultancies and law firms. He is a registered lawyer with the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), a court-appointed expert witness before the Ministry of Justice, and a mediator.
LRB Tax & Legal is headquartered in Madrid, with an office in San Sebastián de los Reyes and, now, in the Balearic Islands. The firm’s client base spans the tourism, hospitality, technology and food sectors. LRB Tax & Legal was founded and continues to be led by Luis Miguel Larriba.
