Howden announces the incorporation of Luis de Carlos, former chairman of Uría, to its Advisory Board

Luis de Carlos Bertrán joins the Advisory Board of Howden Iberia, one of the four leading insurance brokers in Spain. The company, which recently announced the creation of this strategic body, chaired by Hilario Albarracín and with Alfredo Arán as a member, now strengthens its team with the arrival of the former president of Uría. In his role, he will provide strategic advice to the firm’s organization, including process optimization and the implementation of efficient practices.

Luis de Carlos Bertrán is a prominent lawyer with more than 40 years of experience advising domestic and foreign companies in various areas of law. He has been a partner and chairman of Uría Menéndez, where he has worked for more than two decades, being appointed managing partner in 2005.

In addition, he also devoted himself to teaching between 1988 and 2013 at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), teaching the chair of Financial System Law. A brilliant career that has been recognized with major milestones such as the award of the Cross of Honor of San Raimundo de Peñafort granted by the Ministry of Justice (2017).
