Auren absorbs Moore’s Madrid and Barcelona offices
Auren has formalized the integration of Moore’s Madrid and Barcelona offices, in what the firm describes as its largest operation to date. The deal adds a team of 140 professionals and roughly €13 million in turnover to Auren’s Spanish operations, reinforcing its presence in two of the country’s key markets.
Deal details
With this integration, Auren expects to reach a combined turnover of close to €150 million in Spain by the end of the current fiscal year, with a team of more than 1,550 professionals and a network of 15 offices across the country. The operation forms part of Auren’s broader growth strategy, adding specialized capabilities to its Audit, Legal and Consulting practice areas.
As part of the transaction, Auren incorporates ten new partners. Joining the Audit division are Daniel González, Fernando Fernández, Francisco Martínez, Isabel Bermúdez and Luis Manuel Rodríguez. The Legal division welcomes Javier Fernández, Pablo Fernández, Mario Ovejero and José María Nubiola, while Juan Alvado joins the Consulting division.
Background on Moore’s Spanish practice
The Madrid and Barcelona offices represent a substantial part of Moore’s activity in Spain, which has built a practice spanning audit, legal advisory and consulting over several years. Moore’s Madrid office will mark thirty years within the Moore network in 2027, a milestone that now coincides with its integration into Auren’s platform.
The transaction also strengthens Auren’s international reach. Moore brings the backing of Moore Global, which reports revenues of $5.33 billion and operates in 119 countries. This complements Auren’s existing international network, which spans more than 70 countries through the ANTEA alliance and includes over 350 offices worldwide.
Mario Alonso, president of Auren, noted that “the integration reflects a shared understanding of the profession between the two organizations, allowing the firm to expand its capabilities to address emerging client needs”.
Isabel Bermúdez, now a partner in Auren’s Audit division, recalled that “Moore’s Madrid office had already merged with Morison’s Audit and Legal areas in 2021, before adding the Barcelona office in 2025”. She said “the decision to join Auren was driven by the aim of improving client service and retaining and attracting talent within a shared set of professional values”.
The Moore integration follows a series of recent additions by Auren in offices including Alicante, Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, among them the recent incorporation of Valencia-based consulting firm Ifedes.
