Andersen partners with Braintrust and launches consulting practice

Andersen has announced the launching of Andersen Consulting, a global consulting practice that combines innovative business strategy, digital transformation, and AI-based technology solutions, alongside the firm’s expertise in tax, legal, economic valuations, and global mobility. With an independent business model, the new practice branch aims to offer an alternative to traditional consulting approaches, placing customer-centric commitment at the core of its success.

In Spain, Braintrust Consulting, a firm specializing in strategic business consulting driven by data and technology, becomes a member of the new practice area and will adopt the Andersen Consulting brand. Led by its managing partner, Juan Bosco de la Rocha, Braintrust has over 20 years of experience with projects in more than 20 countries and focuses on highly competitive sectors such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, energy, tourism, hospitality, and retail, serving Ibex 35 companies. Braintrust also operates in South America, particularly in Chile. De La Rocha joins Andersen Consulting as partner and managing director in Spain.

Global expansion

Globally, over 3,000 professionals, will offer consulting services in seven key practice areas: strategy, human capital, business transformation, sustainability, technology and platforms, AI and cybersecurity. Andersen Iberia, a Spanish member firm of Andersen Global, and Andersen Consulting will keep as independent firms both in terms of corporate structure and management. However, they will explore collaborations and business synergies. In recent months, teams from both organizations have been working together in specialized fields such as AI, cybersecurity, and hospitality, designing complementary value propositions for their clients, states the firm.

This collaboration will allow Andersen Iberia to enhance and complement its legal and tax services with business and operational insights, leveraging data-driven technology. At the same time, Braintrust, as a member of Andersen Consulting, will provide its clients with access to the expertise of over 90 partners and 400 professionals from Andersen Iberia, covering all areas of business law and specializing in various industries and sectors.

According to Andersen, the launch of the consulting practice is a step forward in Andersen’s goal to expand and strengthen its services, with a firm decision not to establish an auditing division—now or in the future.
