Andersen incorporates two new criminal partners

Andersen incorporates José Antonio Tuero and Nieves Monteserín, both from Martínez-Echevarría, as new criminal partners in the litigation department of its Madrid office. Both join the firm headed by José Vicente Morote to strengthen its capabilities in the areas of economic criminal law, criminal defense and crime prevention.

José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen, affirms that the new partners “make up a first class criminal team for our litigation department in Madrid”. He also stressed that the profile of Andersen’s new partners “fits perfectly with our strategy of raising quality and specialization when it comes to strengthening our departments and offices”.

José Antonio Tuero

José Antonio Tuero holds a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master in Business Administration-Executive from the Pontificia University of Comillas-ICADE. He has more than 30 years of experience in the defense of legal entities and individuals in criminal proceedings. He has participated in proceedings for money laundering, crimes against the Public Treasury, Social Security fraud and embezzlement of public funds, among others. Tuero is a Permanent Arbitrator at the European Arbitration Association and combines his work as a lawyer with teaching at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.

Nieves Monteserín

Nieves Monteserín holds a degree in Law from the University of Oviedo and a degree in Criminology from the European University of Madrid, and has more than 30 years of experience in the legal field. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked for 18 years as a magistrate and prosecutor.
