Evergreen and DLA Piper on Radisson Bilbao deal
Evergreen Legal has advised an investment vehicle backed by Invesco Real Estate and private capital linked to Santander Private Banking on the acquisition of the Radisson Collection Bilbao hotel from Hotei Properties SOCIMI, in a transaction involving one of Bilbao’s most prominent hospitality assets.
The transaction involves the acquisition of an iconic hotel asset located in the heart of Bilbao, at a time of strong momentum in the hospitality sector and growing investor appetite for prime assets with experiential and sustainable components. The acquisition financing was arranged with Banco Santander.
In connection with the acquisition financing, Banco Santander was advised by a team covering both Finance and Real Estate aspects of the deal, with DLA Piper acting as legal counsel to the bank.
The team
Evergreen Legal’s advice spanned several practice areas. The real estate aspects of the acquisition were led by Diego Pérez de Nanclares Bizcarrondo, partner and head of Real Estate, alongside Guillermo Ruiz Verdasco, senior associate. The tax structuring of the transaction was handled by Jacobo de la Guardia, partner and head of Tax.
On the financing side, Marta González Araña, partner and head of Banking & Finance, worked alongside José María Pérez-Prat Recarte, senior associate, and Consuelo Herrera Civantos, associate, advising on the acquisition financing subscribed with Banco Santander.
