Copa Abogados consolidates its growth after splitting from Broseta
Copa Abogados has resumed its activity as a law firm specialising in Labour Law after three years as part of Broseta
During 2021, the firm has strengthened its team, which now includes five partners, and has a team of ten professionals led by lawyers José Manuel Copa and David López. In these nine months, since January 2021, the firm, founded in 1993, has consolidated its growth and has a portfolio of clients in sectors such as mass distribution, retail, automotive, pharmaceuticals, mining, hospitality, tourism, financial services, insurance, contact centre and media, among others.
Copa Abogados wants to build on its brand awareness and recognition in Labour Law to continue to grow in this area. The firm bases its business approach on proximity and internalising the client’s business culture to accompany them throughout their human resources strategy. In this way, the firm is able to provide the most appropriate solutions and provide maximum legal certainty to its clients’ decisions in Labour matters, an area where there is great uncertainty caused by the pandemic and the acceleration of technological innovation.
By focusing on its high level of specialisation in Labour Law, the team can be more predictive of Regulatory changes related to this area, as well as visualise what is going to happen in the sector and how this will affect its client portfolio. In this regard, the firm highlights that the Regulatory Plan for 2021, recently presented by the Government, attaches great importance to Employment and Labour relations, as it ranks third in terms of a number of initiatives. In addition, the social dialogue between the government, trade unions and employers will address very important issues, such as the extension of ERTEs, pension reform and, in the coming months, Labour reform.
Copa Abogados’ 28 years of experience provides extensive experience in preventive advice in pre-judicial or judicial proceedings in the Social and Contentious-Administrative jurisdiction. Also, in all types of negotiations, such as collective bargaining agreements, equality plans or collective procedures for substantial modification of working conditions, geographical mobility, suspensions or termination of employment contracts, while maintaining fluid relations with the social partners and the Administration.
In the words of its founder José Manuel Copa (pictured centre): “We are facing this new stage full of strength and enthusiasm because we are growing and we believe that we bring much more value to our clients by focusing on our in-depth knowledge of Labour Law. We have some intense years ahead in Labour matters and we want to accompany our clients in their decision making with proximity, as we have always done.”
