WFW advises Opdenergy on 750 MW PPA

Watson Farley & Williams has advised on a 750 MW PPA with a European investment grade utility company

pjimage 2021 12 27T093332.848Watson Farley & Williams has advised Spanish sustainable energy producer Opdenergy, on the negotiation and execution of a 750 MW ten-year PPA with a European investment grade utility company. It is according to sources, one of the largest bilateral PPAs signed in Europe to date.

The PPA covers 17 projects in the Spanish regions of Teruel, Zaragoza, Badajoz, Cuenca and Valladolid, which will collectively generate enough energy to supply more than 450,000 homes per year.

Opdenergy is a consolidated and fully integrated independent sustainable energy producer, with over 15 years of experience in solar photovoltaic and onshore wind energy production. It has extensive global sector expertise, with 584MW of operating assets in Spain, Chile, Italy, and Mexico. Furthermore, it also operates in the United Kingdom, France, Poland and the United States, where they are developing a strong pipeline of projects.
