Pérez-Llorca replaces Clifford Chance in the 10th position with a growth of more than 7%
The national revenue of the top ten law firms in Spain in 2020 totalled €1.55 billion.
Pérez-Llorca, the second law firm that followed a more “aggressive” recruitment policy during 2020, after Martínez-Echevarría & Rivera Abogados, with a total of eight partners hirings, is precisely the one that showed more significant growth in percentual terms compared to 2019 within the top ten.
The Spanish “Big Three”; Garrigues, Cuatrecasas and Uría Menéndez keep their positions at the top of this podium in the same order as the last year. While Garrigues and Uría showed a growth of more than 2%, Cuatrecasas reported a slight decrease (-0.29%).
Following the top triad, the Big Four follow, also in the same order as the previous year. While PwC T&L and EY Abogados increased, (in the case of the latter 5.87%), Deloitte Legal and KPMG Abogados decreased 2.26% and 3.79%, respectively.
It was also a good year for Baker McKenzie, which is ranked eighth with a positive variation of 4.87%. As estimated by Iberian Lawyer, Magic Circle’s Linklaters increased over 4%, reaching €70.6 million in 2020.
With a surprising 7% annual revenue growth, jumping to the tenth position and replacing Clifford Chance, Pérez-Llorca gets into the top ten as the main revelation of this year.
