Toda & Nel-lo appoints Serrano head of restructuring & insolvency

Toda & Nel-lo has reinforced its Madrid office with the appointment of Manuela Serrano as a partner, leading the firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice, as well as its litigation department in the capital.

With over 20 years of experience in litigation and insolvency law, Serrano has advised clients on a wide range of civil and commercial proceedings. She has been involved in high-profile cases related to insolvency, litigation, and corporate restructuring at both national and international levels. Her expertise includes distressed M&A transactions, the acquisition of business units, and intra- and extra-corporate disputes.

Serrano joins from PwC, where she was the partner responsible for litigation and insolvency. She has also worked at prestigious firms such as DLA Piper and RocaJunyent.

She is not arriving alone—her move to Toda & Nel-lo comes with a team, including Juan Antonio Martínez, who joins as counsel, and Beatriz Arnaldes.

In addition to her legal practice, Serrano is a board member of Aspac and serves on the advisory committee of the insolvency section of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM). She also has extensive teaching experience at institutions such as ICADE and Universidad Carlos III.
