SPB advises on the debt restructuring of European Smart Investment
Squire Patton Boggs has advised a large syndicate of Spanish banks and financial institutions on the debt restructuring of European Smart Investment and Gridinlux.
European Smart Investment is the owner of the well-known website “Vida10” specialised in the distribution and commercialisation of home care, wellness and healthcare high tech products.
The transaction involved debt restructuring arrangements. The restructuring has involved the use of some of the most innovative tools incorporated by Law 16/2002 in the Spanish insolvency regulations.
The team was led by Madrid office finance partner Manuel Mingot, legal director José Luis Iriarte and associates David Calleja and José María Pérez-Prat. Moore acted as financial advisor in the transaction and provided credit advisory to the borrower’s group. RCD acted as restructuring expert in the refinancing transaction.
