Sérvulo advises Sporting on City Erev acquisition
Sérvulo & Associados advised Sporting Clube de Portugal (SCP) on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of City Erev from Explorer A. The target company owns an autonomous unit — the health club at the Multidesportivo — currently operated under the Holmes Place brand.
The transaction forms part of SCP’s wider “Cidade Sporting” development strategy, launched in 2025, which aims to revitalise the José Alvalade Stadium and its surrounding area, turning it into a sport and lifestyle destination. Completion of the deal was conditional, among other aspects, on approval by SCP’s General Assembly, which took place on 25 July.
In August 2025, also under the “Cidade Sporting” project, Sérvulo advised Sporting on the acquisition of the Alvaláxia building, in an investment of €17 million.
Legal team
The Sérvulo team advising Sporting on the transaction was led by partner Alexandra M. Martins, with support from senior associate Pedro Zincke dos Reis and associate Matilde Gonçalves Neto, all from the firm’s Corporate/M&A department.
