Real Betis Balompié has hired Andrés Simón as Legal counsel
Andrés Simón (pictured) is specialised in Sports Law. He is a Law graduate from Universidad de Murcia, with a stay at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He holds a Master´s degree in Professional Football Law from LaLiga Business School.
He started his career in the Legal department of Real Murcia CF, where he got experience in the preparation and drafting of different types of contracts: Civil, Labour, Commercial (companies, players, sponsorships, termination of players’ contracts) and studied and analysed the drafting of internal regulations and sanctioning regime, presentation of allegations before different authorities, drawing up administrative collaboration agreements with public bodies, claims for payment before the Jurisdictional Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, among other tasks. He was an intern at the prestigious Sports law firm Senn Ferrero and has worked at Ruiz-Pérez Bermúdez Abogados in Murcia and at the Commercial department of Congresos Sports Business.
Andrés is co-founder and author of Regate Legal, a Legal-academic opinion journal on current developments in Sports Law, analysing the key legal aspects of individual cases.
He now joins the Sevillian club´s Legal department, led by José Ruiz Maguillo since 2011, and will work along with ex-Garrigues and ex-KPMG Miguel Donezar.
