PwC Portugal with NxN on data centre acquisition
PwC Portugal has advised NxN Datacenters, a Spanish group specialising in digital infrastructures, majority-owned by the infrastructure fund InfraRed Capital Partners, on its entry into the Portuguese market with the acquisition of a data centre in Évora. The acquired infrastructure has 1MW of installed capacity.
With this transaction, NxN establishes Évora as the first base for its expansion in Portugal, committing to invest up to 100 million euros in the country over the next 3 years, as part of its vision to create a sovereign digital infrastructure platform in southern Europe.
As part of this transaction, PwC Portugal gathered a multidisciplinary team which conducted the legal, financial and tax due diligence. The coordination of the due diligence work and legal advisory throughout the transaction was led by Luís Pedro Oliveira, partner, and Andreia Prado da Silva, senior manager, both from corporate/M&A.
In addition, the public Law team (Tiago Silva Abade, Bernardo Xavier Cid and Sofia Teruszkin Matias), real estate team (Fernando Costal Carinhas and Maria Cabral Azevedo), labour Law team (Levi França Machado, Carolina Bonina Cariano and João Sismeiro Pereira) and digital Law team (Nicole Fortunato and José Marques Ferrão) were also involved in this process.
The financial due diligence team was led by Luís Boquinhas, with the support of Rita Figueiredo and Miguel Cardoso, and the tax due diligence team was led by Maria Torres, with the support of Maria Navio Araújo and Daniela Costa Lopes.
