PLMJ extends network to Madeira

PLMJ has extended its network of partner law firms to the Autonomous Region of Madeira by signing an agreement with Mendes Londral & Associados (ML&A).

Mendes Londral & Associados has two partners, Isabel Mendes Londral and Roberto Mendes Londral, who was an associate at PLMJ from 2006 to 2010.

A PLMJ statement said the new partnership would provide PLMJ clients with “a point of support in the Autonomous Region of Madeira for any issues or business involving the region”.

It added: “In turn, ML&A’s clients will have access to all the offices and services of PLMJ in Lisbon, Oporto and Faro as well as to practically the whole country through the rest of the network partners in Coimbra, Guimarães, Viseu and the Azores. They will also benefit from the services of PLMJ International Legal Network.”

PLMJ’s managing partner Manuel Santos Vítor said the Autonomous Region of Madeira was very attractive to investors. He added: “With a network of partners that already includes law firms in Coimbra, Viseu, Guimarães and the Azores, it makes perfect sense to extend this network to the Autonomous Region of Madeira.”

He continued: “This partner brings the guarantee of a standard of service that meets the expectations of PLMJ’s clients, as well in-depth knowledge of the economy, structures and companies of the region. ”

ML&A partner Roberto Mendes Londral, said: “The partnership with PLMJ allows us to expand our work of providing legal services to the whole of Portugal as well as internationally, and to provide our clients with direct access to areas of greater specialisation in the legal profession, in response to the current demands and challenges of the market.”
