Phoenix Tower International: Miguel Garrido de las Heras is the new general secretary

Phoenix Tower International (PTI), based in Boca Raton (Florida, USA), has hired Miguel Garrido de las Heras (pictured) as general secretary, senior vice president, director of regulatory compliance and director of asset management.

Garrido has more than 25 years of experience, after working at CMS and Allen & Overy he has always been linked to Telefónica’s legal department in different businesses. Before moving to the US mobile giant he was general secretary, director of the legal department and secretary of the board of directors.

Miguel Garrido de las Heras holds a law degree from the Universidad Carlos IIIde Madrid and a master’s degree in corporate legal advice from IE, and will be in charge of a team of around 75 members at Phoenix Tower International, including the general secretary for the United States, the general secretary for Latin America, the general secretary for Europe, as well as various lawyers located in 19 countries.

PTI operates more than 22,000 telecommunications towers in Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
