More PLMJ lawyers leave for Abreu Advogados

A team of three associates specialising in tax – Maria Inês Assis, Joana Maldonado Reis and Luísa Casimiro da Costa – have become the latest lawyers to quit PLMJ for Abreu Advogados.

They follow PLMJ tax partner Nuno Cunha Barnabé, who left PLMJ for Abreu Advogados last week, along with former PLMJ partner Manuel Santos Vítor. Last week also saw PLMJ managing associate Marta Costa quit to join Abreu Advogados as a partner.

Assis (pictured) was a managing associate at PLMJ and had been with the firm for 11 years. Maldonado Reis had been a senior associate at PLMJ – prior to that she had been a lawyer at Raposo Bernardo & Associados, and a tax consultant at Deloitte and KPMG.

Casimiro da Costa had been with PLMJ for two years, she was previously a tax consultant at EY and a lawyer at Telles de Abreu e Associados.
