Michavila-Acebes names new managing partner
Madrid-based Michavila-Acebes Abogados has appointed Ángel Acebes Pérez as managing partner, after more than 15 years in operation. The founding partners promoted the decision as part of the firm’s plan to enter a new growth phase as an independent practice.
As managing partner, Ángel Acebes Pérez takes charge of the firm’s management and coordination, the execution of its strategy and the development of its internal organisation. He will work with the Management Committee, made up of the heads of the practice areas, and with the firm’s manager.
The firm says this model is intended to make management more cross-cutting and coordinated. It aims to encourage collaboration between teams and make better use of each area’s capabilities, while preserving their autonomy and specialisation.
Founding partners’ continuing role
Founding partners José María Michavila and Ángel Acebes Paniagua will remain fully involved with the firm. They will continue to play a key role in advising clients and in business development.
The firm presents the new structure as “a way to support its evolution, take on new challenges and keep improving client service, while maintaining its values and way of working”.
