Mazars advises banks on €19m financing to Mureloil

Mazars Tax & Legal has advised a syndicate of banks on a €19 million financing operation to Mureloil for the construction of a new tanker by Astilleros de Murueta

A syndicate of banks, including Abanca Corporación Bancaria, Kutxabank and Caja Rural de Navarra, has granted a €19 million financing to Mureloil, for the construction of a new tanker to be built by Astilleros de Murueta.

Abanca acted as Arranger and Agent of the syndicated financing. Mureloil is a subsidiary of Naviera Murueta, one of the main Spanish shipping companies, specialised in the maritime transport of dry goods and transport and supply of fuels and diesel fuel.

The new vessel will have the combination of diesel and hybrid-electric propulsion as the most innovative feature, a technology allowing the goal of zero emissions in port, reducing greenhouse gas emissions during navigation by more than 30 per cent, as the shipbuilder explained.
