ClarkeModet Management Board has appointed lawyer Luis De Torres as the new CEO


ClarkeModet Group is specialised in Intellectual Property, comprising ten companies in Europe and Latin America and having more than 500 employees. The new CEO succeeds Farrokh Keneshkar (pictured right) who will retire by the end of May after leading the multinational for more than six years.

Luis De Torres (pictured left) comes from Sodexo, where he led until now the Healthcare and Education areas in Latin America and Brazil. He has nearly 30 years of experience in Consulting and Business Development in multinational companies, especially in the telecommunications, health, and education sectors.

The hiring of Luis De Torres, together with the transfer of responsibilities between both CEOs, comes at a key moment for ClarkeModet, who in the last years has accomplished an important transformation process oriented towards digitalizing its ten companies, innovating in solutions and processes, and expanding its service portfolio. The new structure and business model promoted by Farrokh Keneshkar has made a more agile, adaptable, and efficient company, having disruptive technologies an important role in its services, which has allowed growing nearly 50% in the last five years.

Luis De Torres affirms that “in the new global scenario, marked by the pandemic, assets such as patents and other Intellectual Property rights generated through innovative activity will play a key role in the future of our society.” The new CEO adds that “in this new phase, ClarkeModet will continue its commitment towards the philosophy of anticipating the needs of innovators and creators, which has resulted in 142 years of leadership in the Intellectual Property market in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries. Innovation and change are in our DNA.”

Luis De Torres is a Law graduate from the Universidad de Deusto and earned an MBA from the ESADE Business School. Throughout his career, he has held different business and executive positions for large consulting companies, such as PwC, Arthur D. Little, or Indra, as well as for the telecommunications giant AOL. During the last 13 years, Luis has been part of Sodexo, one of the largest service solution company in the world, holding senior management positions such as general manager for Spain, CEO of HealthCare for Benelux, MED, and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as CEO of the Healthcare and Education departments for Latin America and Brazil, his last position in the company.
