LLYC appoints Luis Guerricagoitia as managing partner of its Madrid office. He succeeds Iñaki Ortega, who is leaving the firm after three years in the role to pursue a new professional stage outside the company
LLYC has appointed Luis Guerricagoitia as the new managing partner of its Madrid office, succeeding Iñaki Ortega, who has decided to leave the firm to pursue a new professional opportunity outside the organisation.
Guerricagoitia will report directly to Jorge López Zafra and Gemma Gutiérrez Cortés, general managers for Spain and Brussels, respectively.
Madrid remains one of LLYC’s most important hubs, serving as a strategic centre for the firm’s operations in Spain and its broader international network.
The profile
Luis Guerricagoitia has been appointed managing partner of LLYC’s Madrid office, bringing more than a decade of experience in corporate affairs, financial communications and stakeholder engagement.
He currently serves as Partner & Spain Corporate Affairs Lead at LLYC, overseeing the firm’s financial communications and public affairs capabilities in Spain. Since joining the firm in 2018, he has held several leadership roles, progressing from director of corporate and financial communications to senior director and partner.
Throughout his career at LLYC, Guerricagoitia has advised listed companies, private equity firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations on corporate transactions, financial communications, reputation management and public affairs strategies.
