Law students vote Garrigues ‘best employer’ in Spain

Law students have voted Garrigues as the best employer to work for in Spain in a new survey.

The 2018 Most Attractive Employer Survey – conducted by employer branding company Universum – sought the opinions of 2,200 law students, most of whom highlighted Garrigues’ prestige, success in the market and its talented lawyers as among the main reasons why they wanted to work there.

Garrigues was also commended for being an employer that helps to ‘boost employees future career’ and also offers the opportunity to achieve a high level of responsibility. The firm was also recognised for offering good opportunities for professional development.

Also included in the top ten employers in Spain – as voted for by the law students – was Cuatrecasas (ranked second), Uría Menéndez (sixth), and Deloitte (seventh).

The non-law firms included in law firm students’ top ten employers were Inditex, Apple, Google, BBVA, Grupo Santander and El Corte Inglés.

Laura Elorza, human resources manager at Garrigues, said the key to attracting young talent was “ongoing training, participating in the more relevant and complex market operations and a clear career development with international opportunities, all of it in a working environment that values fellowship, innovation and excellence in client service”.
