Madrid-based Venture Capital firm Kibo Ventures has carried out the launch and first closing of its third Venture Capital fund, which has a target size of €100 million. The strategy of this new investment vehicle, which plans to invest in around 20 European startups over the next few years, focuses on big data, artificial intelligence, logistics, fintech, healthcare and e-learning sectors, which will go to European startups raising pre-A and series A rounds.

In addition to several institutional investors, Kibo Ventures has also incorporated 20 successful entrepreneurs to this new project, who will bring their knowledge and experience to the companies in which the fund has invested.
Once the fundraising process for this new fund is complete, Kibo Ventures, a Venture Capital firm founded by Aquilino Peña, Javier Torremocha and José María Amusátegui, will add more than €220 million in assets under management.

Founded in 2012, the Iberian firm will bring its assets under management above €220 million once its third fund is fully closed.
