KPMG advises La Liga on its investment in Legends
KPMG Abogados has advised La Liga Group International, a subsidiary of the spanish national professional football league, on its investment in the spanish company Legends Collection Europe and the uruguayan company Sports Legends & Collection.
Both entities are specialised in the collection of historical items related to football and sports in general, as well as operation of museums to exhibit these items. By its side, Legends Collection Europe is the company developing the “Legends – The Home of Football” museum in Puerta del Sol, Madrid.
The team from KPMG advising La Liga was formed by the partner Javier Bau Cabestany (pictured right), the senior manager, Borja Marqués Triay (pictured top right), and the associate, Esperanza Barragán García. Also the partner, Pelayo Oraa Gil (pictured bottom right) and the senior manager, Ignacio Corces Ardila (pictured bottom left), have assisted in tax structuring aspects.
Other professionals from KPMG Abogados advising La Liga in the due diligence phase of the transaction, were the partner Francisco Fernández Díez (pictured top left), the senior manager Ana Garriz García-Santamarina and executive Natalia Rodríguez Antón (Labour department), and the director David Pascual Izquierdo and the senior manager Esther Martín Azañedo (Tax department).
