Jones Day advises Exceda on sale to Akamai Technologies

Jones Day advised Exceda in connection with the sale of the company and related assets to Akamai Technologies. The transaction, which was signed on September 5, 2019 and closed on November 1, 2019 involves the sale of assets in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and the US.

The core Jones Day team advising Exceda was led by Marcello Hallake (São Paulo / New York) and included Nathalia Cipelli (São Paulo).

Exceda was Akamai’s largest channel partner in Latin America, selling the full portfolio of Akamai products. It is expected that the combined Akamai and Exceda teams will allow Akamai to scale its Latin American business to meet the increasing demand for security and web acceleration services, and cloud infrastructure investments in the region.
