In-house movement. Javier Bermudez de Castro Berbel has joined as new head of business affairs at Disney+ , Original Productions Iberia (The Walt Disney Company), coming from Secouya Studios, where he held the position of Head of Business and Head of Legal Affairs.

Javier Bermudez de Castro is a lawyer specializing in the audiovisual sector. He landed at Secuoya Content Group in February 2015, as a lawyer specializing in Technology, Media and Telecommunications. Specifically, he held the position of Head of Business and Head of Legal Affairs at Secuoya Studios, Secuoya Content Group’s content area, which encompasses the production and exploitation of fiction series, feature films, documentaries, entertainment programs and production service for major platforms and channels internationally.
Previously, he has held the position of Legal Director of the regional channel 7 TV Región de Murcia. In the field of teaching, he is a collaborating professor in different Masters at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE), at the Escuela de Práctica Jurídica de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, at The Core Entertainment Science School and at the Escuela de Dirección y Altos Estudios de Granada (ediae). He is also a professor and coordinator of the Master in Industrial, Intellectual Property and Technological Innovation at the PONS business school.
He has been recognized in the sector for his work, among which is the award of InHouse Counsel of the Year in the category of Under40, in the Gold Awards 2023 of Iberian Lawyer.
