ICAM and ICAB Host 1st Corporate Law Forum
The Madrid and Barcelona Bar Associations (ICAM and ICAB) are set to host the inaugural Corporate Law Conference on October 24-25, marking a pivotal event for the legal sector as the role of in-house lawyers continues to expand. In today’s business environment, corporate lawyers play a crucial strategic role in anticipating risks, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the sustainability and growth of their organizations.
The event will feature over 30 high-profile speakers across ten panels, focusing on key issues such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, compliance, cybersecurity, ESG (environmental, social, and governance) regulations, and international taxation. These discussions will explore how emerging technologies are reshaping the legal landscape and how corporate lawyers can navigate increasingly complex regulatory frameworks.
Among the notable speakers are Jaime Pérez Renovales, Secretary General of Banco Santander; Isabel Sánchez, CEO of Delaviuda; John Rigau, VP and General Counsel at Pepsico; Anna Bayo, Director of Legal, Patents, and Compliance at Bayer; and Ignacio Mendoza, Legal Director at Heineken. These industry leaders will share their insights on how legal teams are addressing global transformations and regulatory changes.
In addition to panel discussions, the conference will include networking sessions, such as a cocktail dinner at ICAM’s historic Library Patio, aimed at building a community of corporate law professionals and ensuring the continuity of this important event.
