Iberian Lawyer celebrates tomorrow its first online Legalday
The Legalday, that will verse on business sustainability, will count on the participation of partners from VdA, Morais Leitão, Eversheds Sutherland Nicea, CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut, PLMJ and DLA Piper and heads of Legal and representatives of prestigious companies as Philip Morris International, Nestlé, Novo Banco, Alitalia, TAP, Pirelli, Indra, Siemens Energy, Unicredit, Coca-Cola, Fresenius Medical Care, Haitong Bank, Ouigo Spain, Grupo Visabeira, Porsche, Elsewedy Electric and Atria Energía
Tomorrow December 3, Iberian Lawyer will hold its II edition of the Legalday with a full online programme that will be directed and presented by Aldo Scaringella, Iberian Legal Group & LC Publishing Group founder and managing director, and will consist of several face to face interviews with highly reputed general counsel as Alexandra Reis, Luís Graça and Isabel Fernandes, and of three round tables. Iberian Lawyer chief editor Desiré Vidal and Portugal & LatAm editor Antonio Jiménez Morato will moderate the different sessions.
The first session, that will start at 9:25 am, will cover aspects around the idea of building a culture of sustainability and the 2030 European Agenda Goals, taking into account the COVID-19 frame and how to land these now mandatory rules into the legal world. It will count on the participation of Ricardo Cortes-Monroy IV, Nestlé´s senior vice-president; Bruno Ferreira, PLMJ managing partner and partner in Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices; Patricia Fonseca, head of legal at Novo Banco; Pilar Menor, global Employment co-chair, head of Employment and senior partner in the Madrid office at DLA Piper; Paolo Quaini, general counsel at Alitalia and Stéphanie Silva, general counsel at TAP.
At 11:20 am it will be the time for the session 2, that will cover aspects like digital transformation from a sustainable approach and Data Protection & Cybersecurity in this uncertain scenario of the pandemic crisis. In this session, the following will participate: Mohamed Elmogy, general counsel Middle East and North East Africa at Siemens Energy; João Leitão Figueiredo, managing associate in IP & TMT & Health and Life Sciences practices at CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut; Silvia Madrid, head of Legal & Compliance officer Iberia at UniCredit; Sandra Mori, DPO Europe at Coca-Cola; Kees Van Ophem, global general counsel & EVP, Fresenius Medical Care; Lara Reis, global head of Compliance at Haitong Bank; Patricia Miranda Villar, head of Legal department at OUIGO Spain and Marta Vizcaíno, counsel in the M&A practice area, focused in clean energy & sustainability at Eversheds Sutherland Nicea.
Session 3 will start at 15:00 pm to debate around renewable energies as a way to make life better and gain sustainability and flexibility, and resources control management as a way to land more sustainable criteria. This table will count on panellists as Catarina Brito Ferreira, partner in M&A and Energy and Natural Resources at Morais Leitão; Ana Luís de Sousa, head of practice partner Energy & Natural Resources at VdA; Teresa Mínguez, Legal director & Compliance officer at Porsche Ibérica; Mahmoud Shaarawy, Group Legal director at Elsewedy Electric and Fernando Vega, general counsel at Atria Energía.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the time to make questions to the panellists regarding the topics that will be covered, mainly around business sustainability; its consideration as a real priority after the situation created by the COVID-19 and if it can be assumed as the “new normal” for GC and Compliance Officers.
