Harvey launches AI tool to streamline in-house legal work

Harvey has launched Intake, an AI-powered solution designed to centralise and automate legal requests across businesses, helping in-house teams manage workloads more efficiently.

Developed with design partners including Carvana, GE Aerospace and Dentsu, the platform captures requests through existing business tools, automatically triages them and routes each matter to the appropriate AI agent or lawyer.

Harvey, which works with more than 1,600 in-house legal teams, including five Fortune 10 companies, aims to automate routine enquiries and conduct initial reviews of complex matters, allowing lawyers to focus on strategic work.

“Intake offers the enterprise a single front door for legal support,” said John LaBarre, chief legal officer at Harvey, adding that the platform enables faster responses and earlier identification of risks.

The solution also allows legal departments to define which tasks AI can handle and which require human supervision. It maintains an audit trail and supports risk detection by checking agreements against company playbooks or through Harvey’s Contract Review Agent.
