Grifols instructs Osborne Clarke on €220m Haema deal

Plasma donation centre company Grifols was advised by Osborne Clarke on the acquisition of German donation centre company Haema.

The deal was valued at €220 million, according to Mergermarket.

Haema has 35 donation centers, with three more under construction, as well as a laboratory in Berlin. The company employs around 1,100 people.

A Grifols statement said the company had financed the transaction “with its own resources, without issuing debt”.

In 2017, Haema collected around 800,000 litres of plasma, which came from approximately one million donations.
