GA_P expands Banking team with of counsel hire from Jones Day

Gómez Acebo & Pombo has hired Vanessa Armas as fo counsel to strengthen the energy and infrastructure sectors, joining from Jones Day

Vanessa Armas (pictured) is a lawyer with more than twenty years of experience in the Financial sector advising on complex Financing transactions for both national and international companies, both locally and internationally. She has extensive experience in Project Finance (particularly in the renewable energy sector), restructuring of international groups of companies in financial difficulties, export finance transactions and LBOs.

She joins from Jones Day, where she was of counsel in the firm´s Banking, Finance & Securities are and where she has worked for more than 14 years. Previously, she worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for seven years as an associate. She will now join Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s Banking team, led by partner Miguel Lamo de Espinosa.

Vanessa holds a Law degree from Universidad CEU San Pablo and a Master´s degree in Business Law from IE Business School.
