ECIJA appoints new TMT manager in Madrid

ECIJA has appointed Carlos Rivadulla as Madrid office TMT manager, one its key practice areas which globally has 30 partners and 111 professionals

Carlos has more than 20 years of experience advising international companies such as Apple, Yahoo, Nokia or Philip Morris on Intellectual Property and Information Technology matters. He also plays an active role in the collaborative economy lobbying movement in Catalonia as a member of the Board of Barcelona Activa, IMET and the Barcelona Institute of Technology, positions from which he has successfully led initiatives on copyright fees, increasing public licenses in shared mobility or increasing the budget for innovation and entrepreneurship.

In addition to his consolidated professional career in firms such as Ernst & Young and Clifford Chance, Rivadulla has extensive experience in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, having founded several technology startups. He combines the practice of Law with teaching for more than 10 years as a professor in his areas of specialisation at various universities.

Rivadulla holds a Law degree (Universidad de Barcelona), a Master’s degree from Columbia University – New York in Information Technology and Intellectual Property and PhD studies at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
