Fieldfisher JAUSAS adds B&F head partner from Pinsent Masons

Fieldfisher JAUSAS has incorporated Jacobo Otero as a partner, who, as of April, will lead the Banking & Finance department in the Madrid office

Jacobo Otero (pictured), with extensive experience in Banking and Finance, joins from Pinsent Masons, where he was a senior associate, having previously been at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo. Otero is an expert Finance lawyer who, in recent times, has repeatedly advised the principal Spanish financial institutions and outstanding national and international funds and companies on a large number of Corporate Finance, Acquisition, Project and Real Estate transactions, among others.

He is focused on technological, real estate (including hotels, logistics and residential), energy and maritime sectors, among others. On his hiring Otero said: “In this new chapter at Fieldfisher JAUSAS, I want to consolidate Banking & Finance practice, providing the firm’s clients with quality advice while placing special emphasis on excellence and proximity.”

Fieldfisher JAUSAS president and partner, Jordi Ruiz de Villa, emphasised that: “A Banking & Finance department has been an aspiration of ours ever since our incorporation into Fieldfisher, as it should allow us to provide services to international clients in the network, while also taking advantage of opportunities in the national market”.
