EY Law adds two new associate partners in Portugal
EY Law has integrated Nuno Lima da Luz and Hélder Mourato as associate partners in Portugal. They join from Cuatrecasas and Morais Leitão, respectively.
Nuno Lima da Luz will coordinate the digital law practice, already established at EY Law and currently composed of Inês Bragança Gaspar, Joana Mata, Valéria Polska and Filipa Ribas de Oliveira. His arrival is also expected to help consolidate and develop the firm’s TMT practice. His background spans several areas of technology and telecommunications law, including data protection, cybersecurity, e-commerce, Web3, tokenisation and crypto-assets.
Hélder Mourato will reinforce the M&A team, led by Sara Reis, and the finance & projects team, led by Bruno Azevedo Rodrigues, focusing on investment, acquisition and financing transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. His experience includes corporate transactions, acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructurings, commercial partnerships and regulatory matters linked to the energy sector.
Firm leadership on the hires
According to João Nóbrega, managing partner of EY Law Portugal, “the integration of Nuno and Hélder reflects our commitment to professionals with experience, specialisation and career paths of excellence, capable of taking on leadership responsibilities and immediately strengthening our response capacity. Nuno will take on the coordination and provide senior reinforcement to the Digital Law and TMT area, while Hélder strengthens M&A and Finance & Projects, with particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.”
This September, EY Law will also integrate six new trainee lawyers. With these additions, the firm will count more than 50 professionals in Portugal.
