EY Abogados incorporates Silvia Bauzá as partner in charge of the labor law practice
EY Abogados incorporates Silvia Bauzá, from A&O Shearman, as partner in charge of markets and corporate development of the legal area and partner in charge of the labor practice, under the direction of the managing partner, Ramón Palacín.

With more than twenty-five years of experience as a labor lawyer and partner in several major national and international law firms, Silvia Bauzá has been until now partner in charge of the labor law area at A&O Shearman in Spain. Previously she was also a partner at Hogan Lovells and Gómez-Acebo y Pombo, and first a lawyer at Garrigues.
The new partner of EY Abogados is an expert in strategic advice to both national and international companies in labor and employment law. She specializes in labor restructuring processes, including collective dismissal measures, substantial modification of working conditions and collective bargaining.
For her part, Silvia Bauzá, new partner at EY, acknowledges being “very excited to join EY Abogados and to work with such a talented team. I am convinced that together we will be able to offer innovative and effective solutions to our clients, helping them to navigate current and future employment challenges with confidence and success”.
Bauzá is also an expert in complex litigation (both individual and collective), senior executive matters and incentive systems. She also has extensive experience in strategic labor aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate turnarounds.
Silvia Bauzá holds a law degree from the Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid and a master’s degree in Legal Practice from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE, as well as a master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety from the European Institute of Health. She is also a mediator at the SIMA Foundation (Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service), where she intervenes in the extrajudicial resolution of collective conflicts, and co-directs the High Specialization Course in Labor Law Counseling at the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University.
