EY Abogados advises Squirrel Media on Comercializadora BF stake
EY Abogados has advised Squirrel Media on the acquisition of an additional 34.25% stake in Comercializadora BF, a Chilean company that distributes and markets film and audiovisual content. The transaction raises Squirrel Media’s shareholding from 51.05% to 85.3% of the share capital. As part of the deal, Squirrel Media also subscribed an option to acquire the remaining 14.7%.
The cross-border transaction spans Spain, Chile and Brazil. It fits Squirrel Media’s strategy of strengthening its position in Latin America, taking advantage of growth opportunities in the audiovisual sector and of commercial and operational synergies between the group’s different activities.
