EY Abogados advises 21 Invest on Grupo Celesa deal

EY Abogados has acted as tax adviser to 21 Invest in connection with its investment in Grupo Celesa, through which the fund acquired a 70% stake in the Basque company.

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Iurreta, Biscay, Grupo Celesa is a manufacturer of high-precision cutting tools and professional hand tools. The company operates through two brands: BlueMaster, which focuses on cutting solutions for professional use, and Dogher, which specialises in hand tools for a range of industrial sectors.

The team

The tax advice was provided by a joint team from EY Abogados’ Madrid and Bilbao offices, led by Leire Arlabán and Macarena de Abiega, both Partners in the International Tax and Transactions area of the firm. The team also included Pablo Pajares, Director; Pablo Uribarri, Manager; Javier Iraburu, Senior; and Pelayo Pérez, Lawyer, all from the same department.
