Ex-CMS partner trio launch Lesayra

Former CMS partners Abraham Nájera, Javier Leyva and Rafael Sánchez have launched Lesayra, a new law firm that specialises in Commercial Law, M&A and Banking and Finance

Although the firm specialises in Commercial Law, M&A and Banking and Finance, they cover the rest of the areas and jurisdictions through collaboration with top-level law firms and highly specialised legal boutiques. In this way, we can count on highly qualified specialists and a team tailored to the specific needs of the client and the matter.

Since 2013 to this year Abraham Nájera Pascual (pictured bottom left) has been co-head of CMS Banking & Finance practice, although he has spent more than twenty years in the same department of the firm. He graduated in Law from the Universidad de La Rioja and also has a degree in Psychology from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia.

Javier Leyva Olarte  (pictured top centre) has been in CMS for more than 13 years, first as a counsel and, since 2018, as a partner. Previously, he worked at EY as M&A, Corporate and Commercial lawyer for more than four years. He graduated in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master´s degree in Corporate Legal advice from the Instituto de Empresa.

Rafael Sánchez Jiménez (pictured top left) has been working in CMS Spain for more than 16 years, last two as a Corporate and M&A partner. He has extensive experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, including private equity and renewable energy transactions, Corporate governance of IBEX-35 listed companies, Corporate Law (General Meetings of IBEX-35 listed companies), Stock market operations (takeover bids, IPOs and public offerings of IBEX-35 companies), General Commercial Law, including national and international contracting and Real Estate Law. He graduated in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE.

Along with them in this new stage, other four ex-CMS lawyers also join; Concepción Padilla (pictured bottom second right), Natalia Terol (pictured bottom right), Ana González del Valle (pictured by Abraham´s side) and Inés Caruana (pictured top right), who also come from CMS. All of them aim to practice a specialised and personalised Law based on excellence with a structure and culture adapted to the current times.
