Ecija advises Par Producciones on HBO series
Ecija has advised Par Producciones on the development of the HBO series “Los asesinos de Colosio”, a production that revisits one of the most consequential political events in modern Mexican history: the assassination of Luis Donaldo Colosio.
Ecija’s role covered the full spectrum of legal issues associated with audiovisual production. The firm advised on contractual matters, including service agreements, production and exploitation contracts, and distribution arrangements.
In parallel, the team provided guidance on information law and freedom of expression, with particular attention to potential conflicts involving rights to honour, privacy, and image—areas that are especially sensitive in productions dealing with real events and public figures.
