Antas da Cunha Ecija creates three new professional areas
Antas da Cunha Ecija has strengthened its management and support structure (“Business Team”) with the creation of three new professional areas: Business Development, Innovation, AI and Knowledge, and People and Culture. To drive each of these departments, the firm has brought in, respectively, Maria Clara Brito Goes, Carlota Lima Raposo and Tiago Manuel Moreira.
Maria Clara Brito Goes joins the firm as manager of the Business Development department, moving from Morais Leitão, where she worked for the past four years.
Carlota Lima Raposo will lead the Innovation, AI and Knowledge department. Over the past year, she worked at Cuatrecasas, performing knowledge management functions within the knowledge and innovation department.
With a decade of experience in human resources management and organisational development, Tiago Manuel Moreira joins Antas da Cunha Ecija with responsibility for coordinating the firm’s People and Culture department. At the time of his move, he was working as a senior human resources officer at CCA Law Firm.
“This step reflects a clear commitment to the professionalisation of management, with a focus on areas that are critical to the firm’s future. These functions are now decisive to ensure scale, consistency and adaptability in an increasingly demanding market. By investing in these areas, we are creating better conditions to attract and develop talent, promote more efficient and sustainable ways of working, and free our lawyers to focus on what truly creates value: high-level legal advice”, says Fernando Antas da Cunha, managing partner.
He adds: “In a firm of our size, it is essential that legal work remains the priority for our lawyers. To that end, it is important that we can rely, across multiple areas, on professionals with specific non-legal expertise who work transversally to improve operational efficiency and foster an environment in which people feel motivated and aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives.”
The three new professionals join the more than 30 members of Antas da Cunha Ecija’s Business Team, which already includes the finance, communication and brand, digital transformation and projects, logistics and client service departments, across the firm’s offices in Lisbon, Porto and Braga.
