Ecija approves sustainable mobility plan
Ecija has approved a Corporate Sustainable Mobility Plan, an initiative the firm describes as the first comprehensive mobility planning and management tool adopted by a law firm in Spain. The plan was approved on 7 July 2026 and is designed to align the firm’s operations with regulatory requirements on sustainability, ecological transition and corporate responsibility.
The plan was approved following a negotiation process with employee representatives, including participation from trade unions UGT and CCOO. It covers several areas of the firm’s operations, including the optimization of professional travel, international mobility, the integration of remote work, road safety, staff training and awareness, and the promotion of sustainable practices among clients, suppliers and visitors.
The firm points to mobility as one of the main environmental challenges facing professional services organizations, given daily commuting, business travel, international mobility requirements and the need to provide in-person services to clients, public bodies and courts.
Broader Sustainability Strategy
Alejandro Touriño, CEO of Ecija, said the plan reflects the firm’s intention to anticipate new regulatory and environmental challenges by integrating sustainability into its day-to-day management and moving toward a more responsible and efficient operating model.
