Ecija adds Alejandro Puyo as partner in Barcelona
Ecija has brought on Alejandro Puyo as a partner in its Barcelona office, reinforcing the firm’s tax practice. He joins from Bartolomé & Briones, where he was a partner in the tax department and the French Desk.
Xavi Muñoz, managing partner of Ecija Barcelona, noted that “Puyo’s experience, strategic vision, and client-focused approach strengthen the firm’s capacity to deliver comprehensive tax advisory services”. Puyo himself described the move as “an opportunity to continue developing his practice at a firm he characterised as young and innovative, expressing his intention to contribute to the growth of the tax area and support clients in their current and future challenges”.

Alejandro Puyo brings extensive experience in recurring tax advisory and tax planning, as well as in M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, international taxation, and tax proceedings. Throughout his career, he has advised companies across multiple sectors, supporting them in strategic decisions with significant tax implications. He holds a law degree with a specialisation in tax law and has previously worked at other law firms, advising both domestic corporate groups and international investors.
