Pérez-Llorca merges with Miranda & Amado in Peru
Pérez-Llorca and Miranda & Amado have reached a full legal and economic integration agreement, creating what the firms describe as a combined Ibero-American platform. The merger — the first of its kind in the Peruvian market — is expected to close within the coming weeks, pending approval from the governing bodies of both firms.
Deal details
The integration will bring Miranda & Amado’s approximately 240 professionals into Pérez-Llorca’s structure, taking the combined headcount to around 1,300 globally, with nearly 700 based in Latin America. Partners from Miranda & Amado will join Pérez-Llorca’s governing bodies and take on leadership roles in key international practice areas.
The merged firm will advise on Spanish, Portuguese, European, Mexican, Colombian, and Peruvian law from offices in Barcelona, Bogotá, Brussels, Mexico City, Lima, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Medellín, Monterrey, New York, and Singapore. A new Abu Dhabi office is also planned for 2026, aimed at serving Middle Eastern investors with interests in the Iberian Peninsula and the Americas.
Project Scala and Latin American expansion
The transaction forms part of Pérez-Llorca’s “Project Scala,” an initiative to build an integrated Ibero-American firm with uniform service standards and coordinated multi-jurisdictional advisory capacity. The Peru integration follows earlier mergers in Mexico (2024) and Colombia (2025).
Pedro Pérez-Llorca, Managing Partner of Pérez-Llorca, described the deal as a new milestone in a project launched three years ago with the aim of building a solid and sustainable Ibero-American firm, noting that Peru reinforces the firm’s Latin American presence and consolidates a growth model based on full integrations with firms that share the same culture, standards, and vision of legal practice.
José Daniel Amado, Founding Partner of Miranda & Amado, said the integration represents an extraordinary opportunity to combine Miranda & Amado’s reputation, track record, and talent with Pérez-Llorca’s international reach, born from the meeting of two firms with the ambition to strengthen their local presence and build an unprecedented global platform in the region.
Iván Delgado, International Executive Partner at Pérez-Llorca, noted that Latin America is a strategic priority and that the integration represents a qualitative leap in the firm’s capacity to deliver coordinated, high-value service to clients across the region.
